Good morning,

I just updated Transmission in FreeNAS webui.
After the update, Transmission stay OFF in webui, no matter how much I try to switch it on.

Below is the fix. You'll also need to restart the jail.

rm /usr/local/etc/rc.d/transmission
ln -s /usr/pbi/transmission-amd64/etc/rc.d/transmission /usr/local/etc/rc.d

after update + fix it seems transmission is not using the incomplete dir, but i find an interesting error:

Error: Permission denied (/mnt/complete-cp//Ask.Me.Anything.2014.720p.WEB-DL.DD5.1.H264-RARBG/Ask.Me.Anything.2014.720p.WEB-DL.DD5.1.H

there are 2 // behind complete-cp. i try to get rid of it but no success.

thanks for noticing! I use that on a freebsd machine but forgot to translate it to freenas plugins. I'll fix it up.
should be /usr/pbi/transmission-amd64/ instead of /usr/local

so ill need to link some libraries to get this to work. I'll make sure it works by the time 2.84 is official. hoping it all gets done this weekend.

ok, a bit confused now. what is supposed to be moving the download transmission or SR/CP?

For example on my setup..
1) /mnt/media/downloads/transmission/incomplete > /mnt/media/downloads/transmission/complete/(tv/movie) - happens during processing, transmission does this based on what SR/CP told it to do
2) /mnt/media/downloads/transmission/complete/(tv/movie) > /mnt/media/videos/(tvshows|movies) - happens during post-processing, the way you have it (without script processing) SR/CP is performing this move. SR/CP need permissions to move the downloaded files.

It's Transmission to move from incomplete to complete-sr or -cp
i'm not home now, but after update the incomplete setting is not set right yet, and there is an error to download directly to complete-cp . there is a double slash // in the path

Quick question. I noticed the last time you set this up, you had listed that a media user needed to be created.

If someone was doing this from scratch, i.e. fresh install, would this still be needed?

Hey guys having a slight problem with CP it was hanging and would not load the web ui tried turning it off from the FN web ui hangs.. tryed service couchpotato stop..hangs.. deleted plugin and var/db/couchpotato reinstalled same thing..

I realized it wasn't necessary.
you can still do it, and it makes sense to for example to set as a CIFS user.

I don't know if this is the cause of the issue. I think it should know to ignore repeated "/"
incomplete dir is working for me. did you update? maybe it didn't apply yet and you need to restart your jail. or maybe the pbi you downloaded was cached. a new 2.82_1 one was uploaded yesterday

Ok updated transmission through GUI, then ran these two commands within the shell in the jail(is that right?) then stopped and started the jail and noticed the following

Dec 22 21:29:12 freenas kernel: ifa_del_loopback_route: deletion failed

Seems like transmission is trying to create /mnt/complete-sr
i thought you ended up moving the folders to all be under a different path?

YES, terrible mistake
i messed up the paths. it's not /mnt/complete but /mnt/torrent/complete.

so sorry i missed,

new problem though after transmission update, when i change the settings in settings.json. after restarting the plug and/or the jail. the settings go back to standard.
anyone else has that?
