I dont see an update button?

I see within Apps that some report new updates and they update fine.
Just not that PBI's.

Ahh, not sure, maybe the update button only appears if you installed using the Repo.
Unless somethings broken there's no need to update the PBI, most of the updates just fixed dependencies that were causing noticeable bugs.

But was just wondering about in the future if there is some big update or something a how to do it properly.

For some reason i am experiencing slow Sabnzbd downloads. I ran a comparison between sab on my windows machine and on my freenas box with same source and noticed my windows machine was using 30 connections and the freenas box was only using 6 . Anyone know of a setting in freenas that would limit my connections. Both machines are wired into the same router.

this probably isn't freenas specific, I get full speed (50mbps) with no tweaking.

number of connections more then a few doesn't matter and is actually meet more CPU/network overhead. setting the cache size higher might help if your zpool is slow. what's your CPU?

well your hardware shouldn't be an issue. possibly a network issue? otherwise I'm stumped.

Have you verified that you entered the correct number of connections into Sab? I know it's a "duh!" kind of statement, but since it wasn't mentioned I figure its worth asking about.

you could do some netcat tests to see max land speed, might be useful. also are you downloading identical nzbs?

So i backed up my etc/sab folder and reinstalled sab over top of the old version and it seems to be working now.

No, but I prefer it because it has failed download support and API integration with Transmission
