Is there any way to install a knowledge database system accessible from the net on the truenas? And if so which is a good system?

You can run any common PHP/Ruby/Python/Java/... web application that does not rely on "Linux only" features in a jail on your TrueNAS. Strictly Linux or Windows applications can run in a virtual machine.

I suggest you google "open source knowledge base system" or some such and pick one or two likely candidates. Then come back for advice on installation.
