SOLVED Is the paid version of FreeNAS different from the free one?
My guess is there the same but the paid version just has supported hardware. Is this correct??- mbalsam

Recently installed version 11 and setup sharing for files in a windows workgroup, other clients can map shared drives and share files as expected.
